We woke this morning rested and refreshed to the newness of a beautiful surrounding that was obscured by the darkness when we arrived last night.
Thankful for a good breakfast and clear skies we gathered for our 5 hour bus ride to Karuma. For some, the time was spent resting as others shared about themselves , their faith and their families.
The Lord cared for us as we journeyed, keeping the storms at bay as the roads before us were always pointed to the blue. As far as the road..well let's just say we Americans do love our asphalt ! Sweet times!
MADE IT ! Just arrived at Restoration Gateway. Settling in now...enjoying the sights and sounds of the children playing kickball. Soon to have a time of worship, praise and song.

Arrived in Uganda
We made it! Safe, sound, all present and accounted for! Long and often mindless moments sandwiched in on a 777-200 became our new norm for the past 28 hours. God was good...the fellowship was sweet...and of course..it was a big PTL for Ed..our constant reliable source for entertainment. We rest now and will wake to The Lords day...we will be glad and we will rejoice as we gather to praise Him. Thanks be to Him.

Editor's Note: The time difference between Uganda and Memphis is +8 hours, so as it is now 5 pm Saturday in Memphis, it is 1 am Sunday in Uganda. The team will sleep tonight at a hotel in Entebbe, then travel again tomorrow 5 hours by bus to Restoration Gateway which you can see marked on the map at the side of the blog. Please pray that all the team will be able to rest overnight and that they will travel safely and smoothly tomorrow. "And he said, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.'" Exodus 33:14
2 Flights Down - 1 To Go
We made it safely to Brussels at 7:15 a.m. Belgium time (12:15 a.m. Mem) The Lord gave us comfort in not so comfortable seats and rest when the cabin noise wouldn't allow for such. We are here...we are thankful...we are blessed. Leaving for Entebbe in 2 hours, with one stop in Kigali, Rwanda...10 hours total travel time.
All is well....we go now in Christ name.

Uganda 2015 -- We're Off!
We're off! 19 souls with humbled hearts now on our way to serve our Lord Christ and Savior. We go with joy and provision as our God has prepared this path for us. Thanks to so many that have been with us and supported us throughout these months of preparation. We covet your prayers as we travel further into place that Christ desires his love to be known. All is going very well. To our families, we love you and look forward to sharing what awesome things Christ is doing in this very far place.
